Prophet Muhammad. the messenger of peace

Prophet Muhammad, the messenger of Peace.
In the subcontinent Eid-e-Milad is the third Id after Id-ul-Fitr, marking the end of Ramadan, and Id-uz-Zuha, observed just after the performance of Haj in commemoration of Abraham’s sacrifice of son Ishmael.
It’s the Birth day of the Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be upon Him) the last messenger of Allah for the whole Humanity and therefore celebrated by the Muslims. Muhammad means highly praised but it is the irony that in today’s civilized world he PBUH, the spiritual leader of billions, is not given the due respect instead his character is malign and he being criticized for no fault of his own. In Quran he is declared as a mercy for all the creatures but paradoxically he is charged of spreading terrorism.
Michael Heart, the writer of the 100 more influential people, after extensive research, listed Prophet Muhammad PBUH as the number one and applauded, “He was the only man in history who was supremely successful on both the religious and secular levels.” Mahatma Gandhi in young India was sorry that he could not read the full biography of Muhammad but said, “I became more than convinced that it was not the sword that won a place for Islam in those days in the scheme of life. It was the rigid simplicity, the utter self-effacement of the Prophet, the scrupulous regard for his pledges, his intense devotion to his friends and followers, his intrepidity, his fearlessness, his absolute trust in God and in his own mission.”
Then why suddenly the opinion changed? Is it 9/11 or the ideology of clashes of civilization. Is it the desire to control rich oil fields or the unfinished agenda of the cold war? Is it due the some ayah of Quran or the Sayings of the Prophet? The answers to these questions are very important for the world peace.
Muslims who are proud to love Muhammad PBUH did not understand him and his mission that lead to misapprehension among other human beings. They had mistaken him as the Prophet of Muslims only whereby Quran declares him as the Messenger of Allah not only for the humanity but for all the creatures.
Secondly his biographies are written at the time when history was meant the history of wars only. Therefore today we see Ramayana, Mahabharata and earlier pieces of classical history mostly portraying the war scenes. The real biography of prophet lies in the Hadith, the sayings and the actions of prophet Muhammad (PBUH). When an old lady was leaving Makah with a luggage on his head and was abusing Muhammad PBUH, the Prophet PBUH saw her and took her luggage on his own head. Throughout the journey she was abusing consistently but at the end of Makah when she knew that the person who was carrying her luggage was Muhammad, She apologized and reverted to Islam. He pardoned off those who killed his beloved uncle, who throw him out of Makah, who were planning to murder him who were abusing him and injured him severely by throwing stone. He helped 300 girl children who were supposed to get killed by their own parents. He not only saved them but grew them up. He was kind and generous not only for others but for his family too. Likewise there are many such UNTOLD STORIES about his life which are lesser known among human being.
Instead of repeated explanation that JIHAD means struggle to be a better human some Quranic ayah mostly quoted out of context lead to misunderstanding about Islam. For example it is well known that the drinking of wine is prohibited in Islam but In Quran one can find the Ayah preventing Muslims not to drink at the time of Namaz. Out of context this Ayah will mean that wine is allowed after Namaz which is not true. Therefore, to understand Quran the context of the ayah is must.
Many Islamic Scholars believe that War in Islam is allowed only in self defense means there is no offensive war forget the preemptive wars (as declared by Mr. Bush). Killing innocents are the worst crime even at the time of war. Muslim soldiers (Not anybody) are allowed to fight with the soldiers only and not the civilians, women, children. They can’t destroy even the trees cannot poison the water or do anything destructive for humanity.
We must understand the message of Prophet Muhammad, live his life and spread his message of Peace and Salvation. Islam was spread by the characters of Muslims and through peaceful Dawah and this is the only way to pay tribute to the beloved Prophet (PBUH).
